Zamfara Commissioner, Usman Nagogo, launches Community Policing Advisory Committee

&NewLine;<p>Zamfara State Police Commissioner&comma; Usman Nagogo&comma; has inaugurated local government community policing   advisory committee&comma; LGCPAC&comma;  in respect of Gummi Local Government Area  at the Palace of Gummi Emir&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>It would be recalled that Zamfara State was one of&nbsp&semi; the first to inaugurate&nbsp&semi; the state Community Policing Advisory Committee on the 25th March&comma; 2020 by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Bello Matawalle MON&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>A statement signed by Superintendent &nbsp&semi;Mohammed Shehu&comma; Police Public Relations Officer of the Command stated that in continuation with the inauguration exercise&comma; Usman Nagogo&comma; on Thursday&comma; June 3&comma; launched the Local Government Community Policing Advisory Committee<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The eight &nbsp&semi;member Committee was inaugurated as part of the strategies of the Inspector General of Police&comma; IGP Mohammed A&period; Adamu to employ an all inclusive way in addressing the security challenges in Zamfara State through engagement and consultation with members of the public&comma; an initiative that has worked in Zamfara State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<figure class&equals;"wp-block-image size-large"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2020&sol;06&sol;Zamfara-2-1024x767&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" class&equals;"wp-image-3749"&sol;><&sol;figure>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The inauguration ceremony was attended by&nbsp&semi; HRH Justice Lawal Hassan Gummi &lpar;OFR&rpar; Emir of Gummi&comma; Commissioner for security and Home affairs&comma; Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Dauran&comma; Commandant NSCDC&comma; Representatives of State Director Security &lpar;DSS&rpar;&comma; Gummi LG Chairman among others&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The Commissioner of Police&comma; in his address&comma; congratulated the committee members for their appointment and further reiterated the mission and vision of the Inspector General of Police regarding the programme&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In his response&comma; the Emir of Gummi expressed happiness for choosing Gummi to be the first LG where the launching of this Committee kick-started&period; He further thanked the Inspector General of Police for the&nbsp&semi;&nbsp&semi; wonderful initiative&period; He promised to justify the confidence reposed on them&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The programme was conducted peacefully and will be continued in other Local Government Areas&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
