Cynthia Nwanne Azuka, A Social Media Commentator, Lambasts Obi Cubana Over “Ndi Igbo Lack Knowledge” Comment

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Cynthia Nwanne Azuka, a Seoul based digital expert, social media commentator and relationship counsellor has come hard on celebrity businessman and leader of President Bola Tinubu’s “City Boy Movement” Obinna Tochukwu Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana over a comment credited to him in which he said “Ndi Igbo Lack Knowledge.”

In a video that has gone viral Obi Cubana was heard saying:

“There is a movement called the city boy movement. It is a not a political party but a movement.
“But it is actually designed primarily for the re election bid of Mr. president.

“The unique thing about this whole thing is about young people, mostly business men and not politicians, but people who want the betterment of Igbo.

“Our people lack knowledge and what is needed to educate and give orientation to our people…Igbo has to be connected to the centre….”

Reacting, Cynthia Nwanne Azuka who is originally from Abia State lectured Obi Cubana on power acquisition and the consequences of his “City Boy Movement” drive to align the easterners with Tinubu’s aspiration.

Writing on her Facebook page, Cynthia Nwanne Azuka noted that Obi Cubana’s 2027 political philosophy would ultimately make Ndigbo to be begging from “crumbs” if it materializes.

Cynthia Nwanne Azuka wrote:

Obi Cubana, you said in your speech that Ndi Igbo lack knowledge and that you want to educate them.

So I listened carefully to the “education” you offered.

What did we get?

Something about “connecting the center.”
And a proverb about eggs and baskets.

That is the great political education you have for Nigerian youths and Ndi Igbo?

Let me also offer you a little free education.
Power that is given to you can be controlled.

If you lick boots to get power, you cannot do much with it.
Because the same people who handed it to you are still holding the leash.

But power that is struggled for is different.

Power that citizens rise up to demand. Power that comes through fighting for free and fair elections.
Power that is earned through the will of the people.

That is the kind of power that can move a country from point A to point B.

The path you are trying to convince Ndi Igbo and Nigerian youths to follow is the path of begging for crumbs from the table of power.

And any power gotten that way can be taken back the moment the one who gave it changes his mind.

We are tired of turn-by-turn politics.
We want a country where leaders compete with results. Where performance decides leadership.

And that kind of country can never be built on power that is begged for.

Run your “city boys” race in peace.
But please, that statement that Ndi Igbo lack knowledge is an error,” she said.
