Why I lost my presidential bid in 2011—Dele Momodu

Why I lost
OpenLife Nigeria reports that as preparations for the 2023 presidential elections gather momentum, players and aspirants are re-jigging strategies to emerge victories at both the primary and general elections.
In doing this, experienced aspirants who have contested in the past are reviewing their past experience and retooling the fault lines to gate cracking.
It was against the backdrop that Chief Dele Momodu, foremost journalist and publisher, Ovation Magazine Dele disclosed that the reasons he failed in the 2011 presidential contest have been identified and appropriate measures taken to avoid a repeat.
Speaking on Arise TV, Momodu who has moved to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP said that his 2011 National Conscience Party, NCP, now deregistered, was not strong enough to win a national election at that time.
According to him, “NCP was a fringe party that does not have the structure to win a national election in 2011,” stressing that it accounted for the reason he failed in 2011.
He explained that like late Moshood Abiola who failed a presidential attempt in the early 80s and won in 1993, he has put necessary measures in place to avoid failure in 2023.
He noted that he is well experienced to manage Nigeria and upgrade the standard of living. He urged voters to consider him at the poll.
