Validation War: VeryDarkMan, Doris Ogala Tackle Tonto Dikeh Over School Deliverance

Validation War

OpenLife reports that social media personality, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, VDM, has come down hard on born again Nollywood star, Tonto Dikeh over deliverance carried out on a school girl.

Based on social media reports and reactions, the incident occurred at a school in the neighborhood where social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM) operates.

VDM claimed in a video that the school is in his “hood” and noted that he and others had recently renovated it, though he did not specifically name the school. Other reports indicate the event took place in Delta State.

According to the story, Dikeh claimed she sensed a “spirit of death” around the school and proceeded to pray for a young girl, which she described as a deliverance.

In the video, Tonto explains that God delivered her from what she calls the “Marine world,” a testimony she says inspires her to help others experience spiritual freedom.

Incidentally, the deliverance session which happened shortly after Dikeh announced her graduation from a discipleship class at Streams of Joy International, went viral, causing backlash from individuals like VDM and Doris Ogala, who criticized the actress for filming a child during a “deliverance” session and raised concerns about privacy and child safety.

In her reaction, Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, once again, publicly condemned fellow actress Tonto Dikeh after a video emerged showing her conducting a deliverance session on a student inside a school.

While her intentions may be rooted in faith, Doris Ogala believes the method and context were highly inappropriate.

“This harassment of our children is totally unacceptable,” Ogala wrote on Instagram, questioning the motives behind the outreach.

She also called on authorities to intervene, tagging the Nigeria Police Force and urging them to take action.

“I am calling on the Nigerian police to do the needful about this kind of nonsense. @npf_nccc @nigeriapoliceforce @fctpolicecommand, this is unacceptable,” she added.

Doris didn’t hold back in questioning the school and parents’ accountability.
“Where are the parents of those children? Report to the police immediately.

Where’s the principal of that school? Hë or she should be arrested immediately alongside the actors saying amen there and also everyone involved in this embarrassment,” she emphasized.

The incident has sparked discussions on how faith-based activities should be conducted in schools and the responsibilities of adults involved.

Some argue that outreach efforts can be valuable if handled sensitively, while others believe strict guidelines are necessary to protect students.

Analysts are of the view that as the debate continues, this situation highlights the ongoing conversation about balancing spiritual initiatives with the safety and well-being of children in educational environments.
