Former president of Nigeria has died.
Chief Ernest Shonekan who headed the Interim National Government that succeeded the junta of General Ibrahim Babangida, has died.

The Ogun High Chief died on Tuesday morning at Evercare hospital in Lekki area of Lagos State after a brief illness.
He was aged 85.
He was the interim head of the Nigerian Government between August 26 and November 17 1993 when he was ousted in a coup led by late General Sani Abacha.
He was a former chairman of UAC and its first Nigerian Managing Director.
Shonekan was a British-trained Nigerian lawyer and industrialist.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Shonekan and children.
