<h4>What We Will Do If You Deny Your Spouse Sex</h4>

<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that the authority of Ghana Police has issued stern warning to married couple who deny their spouse sex.</p>
<p>In a statement that has sparked nationwide conversation, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dennis Fiakpui has reminded Ghanaians that withholding intimacy in a <a href="https://www.vanguardngr.com/">marriage</a> can be a criminal offense.<br />
Under the Domestic Violence Act 732 (2007), denying your partner sex can be classified as emotional abuse.</p>
<p>Speaking to the <a href="https://openlife.ng/">Ghana News Agency (GNA)</a>, the Oti Regional Deputy Commander explained that if a spouse is found guilty of causing emotional distress through the denial of sex, they could face up to two years in prison.</p>
<p>The law isn’t one-sided, ACP Fiakpui emphasized that:<br />
<em><strong>“Men can be reported for denying their wives intimacy or refusing to eat their food to cause them pain.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>&#8220;Women can be reported for using sex as a tool or withholding it to cause unhappiness.</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>Late nights that cause a spouse emotional distress can also be reported to DOVSSU.”</strong></em></p>
