<p><em>We are committed to proper funding of education for standards in Ogun State<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that the Ogun State Governor&comma; Prince Dapo Abiodun has said that his administration would continue to deploy funds and resources towards improving on educational standard of the State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Governor Abiodun stated this while declaring open the 2020 All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools &lpar;ANCOPSS&rpar;&comma; Ogun State branch&comma; 40th Annual Congress&comma; held at Babcock University Stadium&comma; Ilisan-Remo&comma; Ogun State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Represented by the Deputy Governor&comma; the Governor said since the inception of his Administration&comma; his government has continued to review it&&num;8217&semi;s strategy in the education industry in line with the world best practices&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;Indeed&comma; the legacy laid by our forebears by creating a conducive environment for the teaching and learning process&comma; particularly in all the public primary and secondary schools&comma; including tertiary institution in state will be continued to sustain and maintain its dignity&comma;&&num;8221&semi; Abiodun said<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He added that part of the good policy of the government was deliberate and calculated ideas in improving welfare&comma; wellbeing and wellness of the teaching and non teaching staff in all secondary schools&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He also noted that promotion of over 10&comma;000 teaching and non-teaching staff for 2016 and 2017 i was a pointer to the commitment to quality education in the State&comma; noting that efforts were at the advanced stage for conducting the 2018&comma; 2019 and 2020 promotion exercise&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Governor Abiodun however&comma; sought more support and cooperation from school heads and other relevant stakeholders towards the continued development of the educational sector in the State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Also speaking &comma; the State Commissioner for Education&comma; Science and Technology&comma; Prof Abayomi Arigbabu&comma; said the state government was committed to transforming the comatose state of the education sector&comma; while calling on ANCOPSS and other relevant stakeholders for more support&comma; as successful implementation of government policies requires the concerted effort of all&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Earlier in her welcome address&comma; the Ogun State ANCOPSS President&comma; Dr &lpar;Mrs&rpar; Ayodele Olubunmi Womiloju&comma; said the essence of the annual congress was to provide a veritable platform for all Principals of public Secondary Schools in the state to come together and examine issues of relevance and importance in education&comma; adding that as school administrators&comma; all efforts must be made to restore good and sound academic culture back to schools&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>While commending Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration for the giant strides in education sector&comma; Dr Womiloju promised that ANCOPSS shall continue to cooperate&comma; synergise and collaborate with the State government towards achieving the desired goals in the sector&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
