OpenLife reports that a Nigerian Pastor, Mark Miracle who is the senior pastor of Prestige Gospel Centre, has issued a sharp warning to social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, following his shocking staged death and mock burial.

During his Sunday service on March 1, Pastor Miracle described the stunt as spiritually dangerous, stressing that such acts are not entertainment but a risky provocation of forces connected to death itself.

“If you were conversant online yesterday, you saw what was happening, VeryDarkMan declared himself dead. This is a person whom despite the physical attack, God was still keeping the spirit safe.

But what happened are two ways that he may not know and I would like to tell his followers that his spirit is automatically not alive again. You don’t joke with God. You put yourself in a coffin and they say, put him on the ground, they pour sand.

You are daring the spirits of death. You are daring God.”
The pastor warned that organizing a mock burial could unknowingly interfere with one’s spiritual protection.

He also criticized social media culture, pointing out that the pursuit of likes, views, and online clout is pushing young people toward dangerous extremes.

“I said smartphones have made this generation too dull. Just because people will watch. This is a person we are telling God is saying be careful. If I were him or if I were the fans, I would stop praising him and tell him to go for a total cleansing and deliverance. Because the main death may not be as popular as this one. They may never hear about it when he goes.”

Pastor Miracle urged VeryDarkMan’s supporters to stop applauding the stunt and instead guide him toward spiritual cleansing and deliverance, warning that real danger could strike quietly, away from the public eye.

The warning comes after VeryDarkMan staged his own death, mimicking an earlier viral incident involving influencer King Mitchy, who had sparked panic with a fake death announcement following a livestream stunt.

VeryDarkMan’s mock burial complete with a coffin and sand went viral, drawing intense reactions online and prompting Pastor Miracle’s spiritual admonition.
