A Heart Of Gratitude To God, Everyone Involved In My Country Home Opening And Parents’ Remembrance---High Chief Solomon Aguene, Former President, Lagos Ohanaeze Ndigbo
OpenLife News reports that former President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State Chapter, High Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, has poured out his heart in gratitude to God Almighty and to all who made his double celebration of Saturday, October 10, 2026 a huge success.
The revered businessman and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Aguene Art Foundation, had on that memorable day commissioned his new country home in Onicha Igboeze, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and held a solemn memorial in honour of his late beloved parents.
According to Chief Aguene, it was a day of joy, honour and divine grace that would remain evergreen in his heart.
In a heartfelt post-event thank you message which he personally signed on Sunday, the High Chief said the colour, glamour and peace that enveloped the double events could only have come from God.
“First and foremost, I give all the glory to God Almighty. Without Him, my double event would not have been possible. I will continue to wave my hands to God in praise throughout my lifetime for His grace and mercy,” he said.
Chief Aguene, overwhelmed with emotion, extended his deep appreciation to his entire community of Onicha Igboeze and to all friends, well-wishers and guests who travelled from far and near to celebrate with him.
“I thank my entire community of Onicha Igboeze and all the people that came from different areas because of my event. All those that came from far and near got back home safely.
“There was no single report of any casualty. The event went successfully well. That is God at work,” he stated.
He expressed special thanks for the Ebonyi-born billionaire businessman, philanthropist and Ebonyi PDP 2027 governorship candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii.
He described his brotherly love and generous supports as uncommon and unforgettable.
Chief Aguene also expressed profound gratitude to Pius Nweke, fondly called ‘Acid’, who flew in from the United Kingdom, former Super Eagles Coach, Bonfrere Jo, the Chairman of the occasion and Hon. Linus Okorie including many other dignitaries.
He thanked the Honourable Minister of Works and former Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. Dave Umahi again, for his generous supports despite the fact that some people wanted to demarcate them with cheap political blackmail.
“Enemies wanted to demarcate me and Umahi through cheap blackmail in the name of politics. But I will continue to respect Dave Umahi. His telephone number is always answered and he stands out in that regard.
“Being a former party chairman, deputy governor, governor and now minister, he always picks his calls. I respect him greatly for that.
“Besides, Umahi is doing well in his ministerial position,” Aguene said.
High Chief Aguene did not forget the planning committee, saying “I also extend my appreciation to the planning committee who showed their best,” he noted.
The events, which attracted prominent Igbo leaders, captains of industry, political stakeholders, traditional rulers and members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo from Lagos and across the South-East including social and business associates were described as colourful and highly successful.
Chief Aguene concluded that his family will soon organize a special thanksgiving service to glorify God’s name for His mercies and protection.
“The family will be organizing a thanksgiving in no distant time to glorify God’s name,” he disclosed.
