NDC Holds 3rd NEC Meeting, Unveils National Campaign Council, Presents Account Statement Monday, October 26
OpenLife News reports that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its 3rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting will hold on Monday, October 26, 2026, at JD Event Centre, Kashim Ibrahim Way, opposite A-Class Park, Maitama, Abuja, by 10am prompt.
The party said a major highlight of the meeting will be the release and presentation of its Statement of Account by the National Treasurer, in line with its commitment to transparency and accountability.
In a press statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director Esq., on October 23, 2026, the NDC challenged other political parties, especially the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to emulate its level of openness in financial management.
The party noted that its finances would have been more robust but for the economic hardship in the country.
According to the statement, contrary to speculations in the public domain, about 80% of its candidates could not afford the Expression of Interest forms due to poverty, hunger and deprivation occasioned by what it described as rudderless APC economic policies.
The NDC said it had to issue forms to such candidates free of charge.
The NDC added that it will also use the NEC meeting to unveil its National Campaign Council (NCC), which it described as all-encompassing, covering the Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Campaign Councils.
The party said its various candidates will be presented with Certificates of Return for their respective offices at the meeting.
“For the NDC, it is no longer politics as usual. The NDC is turbo-charged and ready to give Nigerians the altruistic leadership the nation deserves. A New Nigeria is Possible. We can do it!” the statement added.
