OpenLife Nigeria has reliably gathered that all students duly registered to write the National Business Certificate (NBC) and the National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board, NABTEB, have been exempted from movement restrictions on Saturday July 13, the day set aside for the local government council elections in Delta State.
Secretary to Delta State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, on Tuesday said heads of security agencies including; the Commissioner of Police, State Director of Department of State Services, DSS and the Director-General of Operation Delta Hawk, have been directed to ensure that candidates for the July 13 NABTEB examinations are granted due access to their respective examination centres across the state.
According to the State government, the examinations shall hold at the following centers; Sapele Technical College, Sapele, Agbor Technical College, Agbor, Issele-Uku Technical College, Issele-Uku, Ofagbe Technical College, Ofagbe, Ogor Technical College, Otogor, Utagba-Ogbe Technical College, Kwale, Omokus Dynamic Structural Education, Warri, Ewu Grammar School, Ewu-Urhobo, Divine Way International Secondary School, Abbi, Central Community Secondary School, Agbor, on and Maris Secondary School, Amachai, Okpanam.
Dr Emu further stated that the NABTEB examinations, and the 2024 local government council elections will hold same day, Saturday July 13, 2024, adding that while movement shall be restricted to Nigerians in Delta State, registered candidates for NABTEB examinations are exempted from movement restrictions to enable them write NTC and NBC examinations.
SSG Delta directed candidates for the NABTEB examinations to be armed with their exam dockets/slips, or other means of identification indicating their centres for the July 13 examinations, whenever they are required to do so by the police and other law enforcement agents.
