Governor Udom Emmanuel Unveils Akwa Ibom Emblem, Anthem to Mark 33rd Anniversary

&NewLine;<p>Governor Udom Emmanuel has Unveiled&nbsp&semi; Akwa Ibom emblem and anthem to mark the State’s 33rd anniversary&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The official unveiling is part of the activities marking the 33rd anniversary of the state creation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;The emblem projects the rich cultural heritage of <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;businessday&period;ng">Akwa Ibom<&sol;a>&period; It gives Akwa Ibomites a common identity and &nbsp&semi;as a reminder about who they are as a people&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Government statement says it speaks volume about the Governor&&num;8217&semi;s unwavering disposition in the unity and greatness of the state&period; It adds that it amplifies his position on peaceful coexistence of Akwa Ibom people at home and in the diaspora&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;In line with Dakkada Creed&comma; this emblem is a confirmation that Akwa Ibom is of God&&num;8217&semi;s creation out of greatness&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;As a people&comma; we can move beyond biases&comma; ethnicity&comma;<a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;"> religion<&sol;a>&comma; gender and rise to togetherness&period; It is a unifying factor that gives our people a sense of pride&period; Elements contained in the emblem show the richness of our dear state&comma; and that we have all it takes to be great&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Sometimes in September 2019&comma; the state government called for submission of entries for logo&comma; anthem and flag of the state&period; 400 logo entries were submitted&period; Over 200 for anthem and 300 for flags from Akwa Ibomites&period; Thereafter&comma; a 12 member Committee from the academia&comma; music&comma; fine arts and journalism professionals was set up&comma; to screen entries&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>After rigorous and strict selection&comma; one was picked and sent to Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly for approval&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The emblem and anthem represent another sterling achievement of Governor Udom Emmanuel administration&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;The message in the emblem would &nbsp&semi;fan the &nbsp&semi;embers of <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">patriotism and loyalty<&sol;a> to the collective goal of the State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
