OpenLife Nigeria reports that Nigerian media personality Abisoye Olukoya Michael, popularly known as Oyemykke, has stirred fresh controversy after reacting to the viral interview of Nollywood star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde.
During the interview, Omotola disclosed that she once received a car from a male admirer and that her husband had no issue with it.
According to her, her spouse is confident and saw nothing wrong with her accepting the luxury gift.
But Oyemykke wasn’t having it.
In a fiery Instagram video, he made it clear that although he respects the actress, he would never tolerate such in his own relationship.
“I am an insecure person and I believe nothing truly comes free in today’s world,” he said bluntly.
He added that while gifts from family members or close friends are understandable, accepting a car from a complete stranger especially a man crosses the line.
Visibly passionate, he threw the question back at his followers, asking how they would handle the same situation.
The clip quickly ignited social media, with opinions split down the middle.
Some fans backed Oyemykke’s stance, insisting boundaries matter in marriage. Others defended Omotola, arguing that her husband’s confidence speaks volumes and that the admirer could simply have been a genuine fan with no hidden agenda.
What started as a simple revelation has now snowballed into a heated debate about trust, boundaries, and what is truly acceptable in marriage.
