Africa’s Leading Philanthropist, Alhaji Amadu,  Supports Family Of Murdered Soldier

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Africa’s leading philanthropist, Ambassador, Alhaji Salamu Amadu and the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Ghana, His Excellency Amer Jamil Alalawi, have extended supports to the family of a slain soldier who hailed from Zongo community of Ghana.
Alhaji Amadu and the UAE Ambassador to Ghana made the donation at the residence of the late military officer, Sheriff Imoro Ibrahim, who was murdered in Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region last month.
Ambassador Alhaji Amadu who also occupies the position as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Afro Arab Group of companies in his remarks consoled the parents of the late promising military personnel, urging them to rejoice in the fact that he is resting in the bosom of the almighty Allah.
“First of all, on behalf of the Zongo communities in Ghana we would like to express our condolences to the family of our late brother who was murdered by some wicked people. We know the law enforcement authorities would investigate the issues and bring those found culpable to book according,” he said.
He added that the donation forms part of the activities earmarked for the Ramadan feast and added that as an ambassador for the Zongo communities he will continue to support the parents of the slain soldier.
The spokesperson for the family, Abdul Rahman Ahmed, on behalf of the family expressed his profound gratitude to Ambassador Amadu and his delegation and thanked them for the gesture.

“We thank you for thinking about us. We seek the blessings of Allah in your lives. May your association grow from strength to strength and May Allah rain blessings on you and make your businesses sustainable,” he said.
He appealed that the gesture be extended to other Muslims who will go into such a situation.
Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu was accompanied by youth leaders from the various Zongo communities.
Days earlier, Ambassador Amadu fulfilled his pledge by building an ultra-modern lavatory for the house he was born and bred for the first time in 36 years.
The Afro Arab Group chairman also announced an initiative to construct toilet facilities for households in the Nima-Mamobi communities to be paid back installment at zero interest rates.
He made the announcement at a hand over exercise to present a newly constructed ultra-modern lavatory facility to the house where he was born and bred.
He also deemed it necessary to extend the initiative for other households to benefit.
He noted that the Zongo communities lack quality toiletry facilities which have led to residents easing themselves into unauthorized areas hence the relevance of such an initiative to address the menace.
“I’m very excited to complete this project because the house has been able to get its toilet facility after 36 years. Toilet and sanitation issues have been a major challenge since time immemorial and I believe that together we can solve them,” he said.
He added that his doors are opened for the residents who don’t have access to a befitting toilet facility so he can build for them to pay through Afro Arab Microfinance with flexible payment plans.
“It is my vision to champion Sustainable Development Goals 1 and 6. which talk about poverty, water and sanitation. Insha Allah, I will ensure that we eradicate poverty in the communities within the Zongos and inner cities,” he added.

The Afro Arab Properties, a subsidiary of the Afro Arab Group has already partnered with both North And East Ayawaso Municipalities to build for public-use ultra-modern lavatories within the communities to serve them.
Speaking , Hajia Marie a resident said getting access to a quality lavatory has been their major challenge and with the intervention of Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu they can now boast of a better lavatory.
“We are most grateful to Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu for solving the major problem we have been facing for the past 36 years. It is our prayer that the Almighty Allah continue to sanctify him to do more for the community”.
Abdul Fatahu Alhassan, the mayor of Nima in his remarks, hinted that the residents in the catchment lack the accessibility of a satisfactory public lavatory and the intervention of the Afro Arab Group Chairman will go a long way to help the sanitation issues in the area.
