OpenLife Nigeria reports that the Divisional Commander of the Tesano Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), Superintendent Comfort Millicent Forkah, has been honoured with a Citation of Honour and Appreciation by a civilian motor rider, Mr. Godsway Kofi Gonyoh, in recognition of her outstanding professionalism, dedication to duty and unwavering commitment to justice.

The citation was presented as a gesture of gratitude following the manner in which Superintendent Forkah handled a case involving Mr. Gonyoh. According to him, the officer’s fairness, integrity and commitment to justice restored his confidence in the Ghana Police Service.

Presenting the citation, Mr. Godsway Kofi Gonyoh said the honour was intended to acknowledge the remarkable professionalism demonstrated by the senior police officer, describing her as a true public servant whose conduct reflects the highest ideals of policing.

“In sincere recognition of your outstanding dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to duty. Your steadfast service and the manner in which you handled my case have greatly impacted me. Because of you, I have regained my trust and confidence in the Ghana Police Service,” the citation read.

The citation further stated: “You are more than a police officer; you are a true servant of justice and a source of hope to the people. May God continue to strengthen, protect and bless you in all that you do. Thank you for restoring my faith in the system.”

Beyond the recognition, Superintendent Forkah has earned praise for the leadership she has brought to the Tesano MTTD Division. Under her supervision, the division has witnessed significant operational improvements aimed at enhancing road safety and easing traffic flow within its jurisdiction.

One of the notable measures introduced under her leadership is the swift removal of broken-down vehicles from major roads and highways. Officers under her command ensure that vehicles which develop mechanical faults are attended to promptly to prevent unnecessary congestion and reduce the risk of accidents.

Commercial drivers who ply the Tesano and adjoining routes have also commended Superintendent Forkah for her commitment to efficient traffic management. Many say the division has become more responsive to traffic-related incidents, contributing to smoother movement of vehicles and improving safety for motorists and pedestrians alike.

The honour serves as a reminder that acts of dedication and exemplary public service do not go unnoticed. It also highlights the important role police officers play in strengthening public confidence through accountability, compassion and commitment to justice.

For Superintendent Comfort Millicent Forkah, the recognition stands as a testament to a career built on professionalism, discipline and service to the nation, while inspiring both her colleagues and the public to believe in the positive impact of effective policing.
