Yobe Commissioner, Yahaya Abubakar, visits recruitment centre, reassures fairness

&NewLine;<p>Yobe Commissioner of Police&comma; Yahaya Sahabo&nbsp&semi;Abubakar&comma; on Tuesday&comma; September 1&comma; visited the centre of the ongoing nationwide Police enlistment&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>This was disclosed in a &nbsp&semi;statement signed <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">Assistant Superintendent of Police<&sol;a>&comma; Dungus Abdulkarim&comma; the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In the statement&comma; Abdulkarim stated that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The Commissioner of Police&comma; Yobe State Command <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">Yahaya Sahabo Abubakar<&sol;a>&comma; psc&comma; &nbsp&semi;visited the venue of the exercise&period; He accessed and appreciated the progress made so far by the screening committee&period; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;He also interacted with various stakeholders on challenges during the process&period; Incidentally&comma; there was none&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;Further&comma; &nbsp&semi;&nbsp&semi;Abdulkarim said that the 17 Local Government Area of the State have representatives&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Also on ground are officers from &nbsp&semi;the <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">Federal Character Commission<&sol;a> and the State recruitment officials&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;They have been quite professional in the enlistment exercise which has been hitch free&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Meanwhile&comma; Abdulkarim noted that as of 1st September&comma; 3524 applicants &nbsp&semi;from &nbsp&semi;13 out of the 17 Local Government Areas in the state have been screened&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p> The Commissioner who was impressed with the turn out of <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;guardian&period;ng">applicants<&sol;a> assured them of transparency&period; He also promised to ensured the environment remains secured for smooth screening&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Speaking&comma; the Commissioner further assured applicants of fairness&period; He warned that on no account must applicants give bribe to be enlisted&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It is free&period; Don’t give bribe to anybody&period; We will disqualify anybody who gives bribe&comma;” he warned&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;In another development&comma; the Commissioner&comma; in continuation with the Yobe State trees planting campaign 2020 against <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;thisdaylive&period;com">Climate Change<&sol;a> and desertification in the state&comma; flagged-off trees planting in the Command on August 28&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The exercise has been replicated in the various <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">Area Commands<&sol;a> and Police Divisional Headquarters in the state&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
