Terrance Gore Passes Away At 34

;

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Terrance Gore, the former Major League Baseball, MLB, player known for being a part of multiple World Series-winning teams, has passed away at just 34 years old.

MLB is the highest level of professional baseball in the world, consisting of 30 teams across the U.S. and Canada.

Founded in 1903, it features a 162-game season, divided into the American League (AL) and National League (NL), culminating in the World Series.

It is considered North America’s oldest major professional sports league.

The tragic news of Terrance Gore’s passing was shared via Instagram by Gore’s own account alongside the Gap to Gap Baseball Academy, which remembered him as more than an athlete: “The world lost a tremendous man last night, but more importantly a family lost a dad, a husband, a brother.”

The announcement revealed that Gore died Friday evening, though no cause of death has been disclosed.

Tributes have since poured in from across the baseball world, including from the Kansas City Royals the team where Gore spent the majority of his major league career and Major League Baseball itself.

Drafted by Kansas City out of Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida, in the 20th round of the 2011 MLB Draft, Gore made his MLB debut on September 2, 2014.

Despite spending much of his career in the minor leagues, he earned a reputation for being in the right place at the right time, contributing to championship teams across the league.

Gore’s career included stints with the Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, and New York Mets.

Notably, he was part of three World Series-winning rosters: the 2015 Royals, 2020 Dodgers, and 2021 Braves, appearing in just 112 major league games but leaving a lasting mark on every team he touched.

Terrance Gore is survived by his wife, Britney, and their three children: Zane, Skylyn, and Camden.

The baseball world, and his family, now mourn a life gone far too soon.
