Ghanaian Youngster, Fatawu Ganiwu, Rejects Interest From Chelsea, Signs Three-Year Deal With Dynamo Kyiv

Ghanaian Youngster

OpenLife News reports that Ghanaian youngster, Fatawu Ganiwu, has officially joined Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv on a three-year contract after completing his transfer from AS Koppan FC.

The promising midfielder has steadily built a reputation as one of Ghana’s most exciting young talents, having represented the Black Stars at both Under-17 and Under-20 levels.

His impressive displays in Ghana and at youth tournaments attracted interest from several top European clubs. Chelsea, Red Bull Salzburg, RC Lens, Brentford and Bournemouth were all linked with the 19-year-old. Ganiwu also trained and underwent trials with some of those clubs before opting for a move to Ukraine.

Speaking after signing his contract, Ganiwu said he was delighted to begin a new chapter.

“Dynamo Kyiv provides the ideal platform for me to improve and showcase my abilities at the highest level,” he said.

The move marks a significant milestone for the midfielder, who is expected to gain valuable experience in European football and the UEFA competitions while continuing his development for both club and country.

Dynamo Kyiv, 16-time Ukrainian champions, have a history of developing young African talents and offering a pathway to Europe’s top leagues.

Ganiwu becomes one of the latest Ghanaians to test himself in Eastern Europe, following in the footsteps of players who used the Ukrainian league as a springboard.

The club will be hoping the youngster can break into the first team quickly and add creativity and energy to their midfield this season.
