<h4>Why I Visited Segun Oni In Ifaki<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a> <&sol;strong>reports that the executive governor of Ekiti State&comma; Biodun Oyebanji has clarified his reasons for visiting former governor Segun Oni in his Ifaki country home on Tuesday&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Segun Oni was the Social Democratic Party&comma; SDP candidate in the 2022 guber contest&comma; an election won by Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress&comma; APC&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Disatisfied by coming 2nd in the hotly contested election&comma; Oni had approached the court to reclaim what he described as his stolen mandate&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Supreme Court however ruled in Oyebanji&&num;8217&semi;s favour&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Writing on his Facebook wall&comma; Oyebanji explained that he had promised to set aside politics and bring everyone on board to move Ekiti State forward&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;To achieve this&comma; he began by visiting Oni to seek his co operation in the collective struggle to develop Ekiti State&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He wrote&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>I paid a courtesy visit to my elder brother and former Governor of Ekiti State&comma; H&period;E&period; Engr&period; Segun Oni&comma; at his residence in Ifaki Ekiti&comma; earlier today&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>The visit was in fulfillment of a pledge I made after the Supreme Court judgement&comma; to pay a visit to him at home and to ask him to join hands with my administration in our efforts to ensure prosperity for the good people of Ekiti State&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>It was a time well spent as we discussed various issues affecting Ekiti State&comma; including ways to improve the economy and create job opportunities in our dear State&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>My appreciation to H&period;E&period; Engr&period; Segun Oni for the warm reception and his commitment to working together for the betterment of Ekiti State&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>My administration is committed to promoting unity&comma; progress&comma; and prosperity in Ekiti State because working together&comma; we can achieve our vision of a more prosperous&comma; peaceful&comma; and vibrant Ekiti State&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;<em><strong>It would however be noted that Segun Oni has been unrelenting in expanding the scope of SDP in the Ekiti&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;<em><strong>He demonstrated this by winning seats in the Ekiti State House of Assembly contest in the March 18 election&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;
