THE FULL PRESS STATEMENT BELOW

“NDC- UK & Ireland Chapter Congratulates H.E Professor Kweku Danso Boafo’s Manifesto Committee.

On behalf of NDC-UK & Ireland  Chapter membership, I congratulate H.E Professor Kweku Danso led Manifesto Committee.

The People’s Manifesto has reiterated NDC’s political philosophy as the main social Democratic Party  in Ghana. The welfare of Ghanaians is the main theme that runs through and illuminates the entire manifesto.

The People’s Manifesto is the most comprehensive and inclusive  social contract ever written in the political history of Ghana. It is a covenant between NDC and the good  people of Ghana.

We have no doubt that President John Mahama’s government with the support of Professor Nana Jane Opoku- Agymeng, shall make good these promises.  It will  improve the socio-economic and political well-being of all Ghanaians without any form of discrimination.

The NDC- UK & Ireland Chapter considers Professor Kweku Danso Boafo as an honorary member of our chapter.

During his tenure as the Ghana High Commissioner to the United Kingdom & Ireland, he showed  keen interest in the affairs of our Chapter. He contributed immensely to the growth of the NDC in UK and Ireland.

We are proud of the pivotal role he played in writing of the People’s Manifesto.

I recall Professor Danso facilitating a telephone conservation between some executives and I with Agyemang when she was Education Minister.

The Manifesto Committee has done a marvellous and excellent job.

We that believe the spirit, letter of the Manifesto should  simplify, amplify its contents to the understanding of ordinary Ghanaians.

This will enable Ghanaians vote massively for President John Mahama and NDC’s parliamentary candidates.

Once again, congratulations to Professor Boafo’s Manifesto Committee for giving Ghanaians the Manifesto that inspires hopes and aspirations.

Thank you.

Alhaji Alhassan Mbalba

Chairman

NDC- UK & Ireland Chapter.”
