Toshiba Corporation Splits

Toshiba Corporation Splits
OpenLife Nigeria has gathered that Toshiba Corporation, a Japanese multinational conglomerate headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, is concluding plans to split itself into three companies to focus on infrastructure, devices, and semiconductor memory as early as 2023.
The 146 years old corporation, founded by Tanaka Hisashige has been involved in diversified products and services including power, industrial, social infrastructure systems and elevators.
The information available to this online medium indicates that boardroom squabbles and low tempo of business as a group are some of the reasons for the split.
Toshiba manufactures a variety of consumer and business products. In addition to HD televisions and laptop computers, the company builds DVD players, digital video recorders (DVRs), printers, copiers, lighting products, medical imaging equipment, surveillance systems, and liquid crystal display (LCD) devices. It also produces semiconductors as well as equipment for the generation of electric power, industrial motors, and industrial electronics. It has a number of subsidiaries in other countries.
