Rajab Mohammed Succeeds Yusuf Isa As Yobe NUJ Chairman

<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Rajab Mohammed has been elected chairman Yobe State Nigeria Union of Journalists<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a> <&sol;strong>reports that Alhaji <strong>Rajab<&sol;strong> Mohammed&comma; a thorough bred journalist&comma; has emerged as the chairman in the Yobe State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists&comma; NUJ&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Rajab Mohammed was the former Secretary of the council in the state&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Rajab defeated his closest and only opponent&comma; Mohammed Garudole with 189 votes as against 68 votes&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Others who emerged elected in the election were Alhassan Sule Mamudo who defeated his two opponents&comma; with a wide margin of 158 as against his two rivals who scored 72 and 14 votes respectively and Mohammed Kalusha Bukar who got elected as Vice Chairman<br &sol;>&NewLine;Others were returned unopposed&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In his acceptance speech&comma; Alhaji Rajab enjoined all members to rally round his leadership to make him succeed&period; He emphasized that electioneering and politics are over&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It is now time for work&comma;&&num;8221&semi; he said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Earlier&comma; the Zonal Vice President of the Union&comma; Comrade Alhassan Yahaya called on the new leadership to be just fair in their dealings&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In his remarks&comma; the outgone Chairman Alhaji Yusuf Isa said he is leaving a united family in the <strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">state&period;<&sol;a><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
