<h4>Pressure On Varsity To Sack Lecturer<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> has learned that the University of Nigeria Nsukka &lpar;UNN&rpar; has been asked to terminate the services of a Computer Science lecturer&comma; Dr&period; Nnaemeka Ogbene&comma; allegedly involved in election manipulation scandal in Enugu State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Executive Director&comma; Odera Foundation&comma; Oluwakemi Roland&comma; who made the call in a statement on Monday in Enugu&comma; said the university authorities must act quickly to preserve integrity of the academia&comma; as well as protect vulnerable students&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Roland&comma; who said her organisation is scandalised by what she described as &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;flagrant abuse of electoral processes” during the recently concluded governorship election in the state&comma; wondered how a university lecturer would be allegedly involved in the manipulation of results with such impunity&comma; and still be allowed to return to teach students&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It would be recalled that Dr&period; Nnaemeka Ogbene&comma; the Returning Officer for Nkanu East Local Government Area had after the March 18 Governorship elections&comma; turned in a result that has numbed statisticians all over the world&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;In the LGA&comma; where&comma; in his own words&comma; there were just above 6&comma;000 accredited voters&comma; Dr&period; Ogbene’s computer wizardry was able to conjure more than 32&comma;000 votes&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In the evaluation of public affairs analysts&comma; Ogbene was a carefully selected willing participant&comma; in the grand scheme of electoral stealing planned and perfected long before the election&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The call for his sack may have ignited regret in his inner recess on account of the realization of how it is very likely to haunt his future as a young academic and researcher<&sol;p>&NewLine;
