Popular Gospel Artist

;

OpenLife reports that Kehinde Adegbodu has recounted a disturbing incident in which armed men invaded his home, leaving his family shaken and living in fear.
Kehinde Adegbodu and Taiwo were twins gospel singers before Taiye died weeks ago.

The musician described how the attack unfolded while he was away from home, turning what should have been a period of mourning into one of anxiety and insecurity.

He explained that he received a report from a close family member who experienced the terrifying encounter firsthand. According to him:

“I was in Osogbo three days ago when Taiwo’s wife called me and her voice was shaking. She said armed robbers came to the house and were saying ‘where is Kehinde? Where is the room of Taiwo that d!ed? Where are their jewelries? Where is Taiwo’s phone? Where is the car key? We are here because of Kehinde, we want to see him, where is his room?’ The robbers took all my clothes, valuables and cash.
One of the robbers called their boss on the phone that I wasn’t around”

Kehinde believes the attackers acted on a false assumption that he had access to significant funds. He clarified the situation surrounding donations and his financial status, stating:

“I think the robbers thought that the money Yinka Ayefele raised for us was still with me. These robbers don’t even care that we are mourning. They spent over 45mins at our house. The money raised for us was used to develop our building project so we could bury Taiwo there. I will post my account balance so that these robbers will know there is no money there. Please don’t come and h@rm our children.”

He further stressed that his public image does not reflect wealth, adding:

“I am always on the road. I don’t have money and I don’t live a fake life. Even the car we are using was a gift.”

Since the incident, he revealed that the emotional impact has lingered heavily on the household, especially the children who now struggle with fear and insecurity at night:

“Since the incident, our kids have been living in fear, they are scared to sleep in the house”

In the aftermath of the invasion, Kehinde Adegbodu’s account paints a troubling picture of a family still grappling with fear and emotional distress. What was already a period of mourning has now been compounded by insecurity and trauma, leaving his household deeply unsettled.

He continues to appeal for understanding, stressing that there is no hidden wealth behind public assumptions and urging that his family be left in peace to heal and rebuild their sense of safety.
