OpenLife reports that popular Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has publicly reacted to the recent wave of violence in Jos, expressing grief and reaffirming his commitment to standing with ordinary Nigerians during times of crisis.

The tragic incident, which occurred on Palm Sunday, saw gunmen storm a community in Angwa Rukuba, Jos, leaving several people dead and many others injured or displaced. The attack has since sparked outrage and sorrow across the country.

Responding to the development, Ninalowo took to Instagram to share his thoughts, making it clear that his allegiance is to the people rather than any political institution.

“I choose to be a voice for the people, not for any government,” he wrote, setting the tone for a deeply emotional message.

Reflecting on his past, the actor admitted that he may not have always spoken in ways that fully represented his beliefs. However, he emphasized that the current situation has compelled him to reassess and speak more boldly.

“The tragic events in Jos, Nigeria, broke my heart. I may have made a misaligned call in the past thoughts made in a moment, with good intentions but I cannot stay silent when I realise I may have overlooked my core values.”

Ninalowo further explained that his concern is rooted in humanity rather than politics, stressing that real change is what truly matters. “My hope is for change, not for political support. I cannot stand by and watch people suffer for any reason. Nigerians bleed, and I will not be ignorant of that reality.”

He ended his message with a prayer, expressing hope for a better future for the nation. “May God bring the change we all desire to make Nigeria a better place. God bless &; help Nigeria.”

The actor’s response adds to the growing voices calling for accountability and compassion in the face of recurring violence. His remarks reflect a broader public sentiment that demands urgent action, empathy, and a renewed commitment to protecting lives across the country.

As the nation continues to grapple with insecurity, his message reinforces the need for unity and meaningful efforts toward lasting peace.
