OpenLife reports that Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Olakunle Churchill is not keeping quiet anymore.
After days of online buzz and heated assumptions, he has stepped forward to clear the air over the viral billboard that got everyone talking.
The massive billboard, boldly positioned at the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, carried a photo of Churchill, his ex-wife Tonto Dikeh, and their son.
Almost immediately, social media went into overdrive. Many concluded that Churchill was the mastermind behind the public display, and critics wasted no time dragging his wife, Rosy Meurer, into the conversation.
But according to Churchill, the narrative making the rounds is completely off track.
Taking to his Instagram story, he addressed the speculation head-on. “I didn’t erect it,” he stated firmly, making it clear he had nothing to do with putting up the billboard.
To back up his claim, Churchill shared screenshots of a private conversation with the individual responsible.
In the chat, the friend openly explained that the billboard was meant as a gift a heartfelt surprise dedicated to Churchill’s first son.
What many had painted as a calculated move now appears to be nothing more than a generous gesture from a proud family friend.
Still, the viral moment proves just how quickly social media can spin a story before the full facts come out.
Now that his clarification is out, Churchill appears determined to end the speculation and keep the focus where it belongs on celebrating his son, not controversy.
