Nigerian singer, Chike, Alleges Woman Scammed Him Out Of $20,000

OpenLife reports that Nigerian singer Chike has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to call out a social media user, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, accusing her of scamming him in a business deal that never materialized.

According to Chike, he gave $20,000 for what he believed was a legitimate business opportunity, only to later realize the venture might have been entirely fake.

In a string of posts, the singer expressed his disappointment, highlighting how some people claim to run businesses while actually surviving off others’ money.

“Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, so you are a thief? That’s how they do. They will tell you they are doing certain business. Her business is to survive on your money. $50,000 in the air. $20,000 of my hard earned money I didn’t see either. How do I find out this late that I’m just another person she has duped. Even me I de laugh myself.”

Chike also warned his followers to be cautious about engaging in business deals without verifying their legitimacy. When asked about the type of business, he clarified that the specifics weren’t important the main issue was that the business didn’t exist.

He has reportedly started taking steps to recover his lost funds, but Chioma Nneoma Ochibili has yet to respond publicly. Chike’s post serves as a reminder for everyone to exercise caution when handling online business transactions.
