<h4>Nigerian Army Honours Buratai</h4>
<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that the Nigerian Army has honoured former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (CFR) with special recognition award.<br />
The immediate past Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin was honoured alongside other other eminent Nigerians on Monday, December 5, 2022.<br />
Interestingly, the Special Recognition Award by the Nigerian Army to General Buratai ,Rtd , was presented by President Muhammadu Buhari President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria at the Chief of Army Staff&#8217;s Annaual Conference 2022 in Sokoto State.<br />
Five other eminent Nigerians were given similar Award. They are <a href="https://www.vanguardngr.com/">Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, the Chairma of BUA Group</a>, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, president of Dangote Group, Chief Tony Elumelu, Chairman UBA Group, Chief Jim Ovia of Jim Ovia Foundation and chairman of Zenith Bank, and Col Hamid Ali Rtd Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service.<br />
Speaking at the Chief of Army Staff Conference, President, Muhammadu Buhari directed the military to remain apolitical and continue to operate within the framework of the constitution to ensure the successful conduct of the for 2023 elections.<br />
He also urged the Army to continue to improve to their human rights obligations during operations in line with global best practices</p>
