NewsOnline listed for honour
OpenLife Nigeria has reliably gathered that NewsOnline Nigeria, a foremost online medium that ranks high on Alexia’s global rating, has been nominated for special honour in Anambra State.
The honour, according to available information, is part of the line-up activities to mark the 30th year of Anambra State creation.
Anambra State, located in the southeastern region of Nigeria, was created by the administration of General Ibrahim Babangida, Ret’d, on August 27, 1991.
Tagged “The Next Anambra” and designed with a maiden publication, “INSPIRE ANAMBRA @30,” Winner’s Media Concept, the parent company of NewsOnline Nigeria is being selected for the special honour under the category of “30 Anambra Under 35 CEOS.”
According to an official statement sighted by OpenLife, the private sector-driven initiative focuses on the deep introspection and the journey of the Anambra people.
The coordinator, Chinedu Okafor, “INSPIRE ANAMBRA @30″ stated that it is an opportunity to rewrite the narrative, the stereotyping and terribly bad press about the Anambra people.
‘It calls for projection of many positive and inspiring feats of Anambra State, her people, brands and exploits in the world of business, politics, industries, entertainment, literature, academics, medicine, law and many other areas of human endeavour.” he added.
The programme is being promoted by TourNigeria Communications, Anambra People Magazine, Akulueuno Foundation, Alexreports and Igbere TV.
