OpenLife reports that Nigerian actress and content creator Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has shared insights into how she manages the line between her personal life and her professional brand.

Speaking at The Creative Blueprint 2.0, she revealed why her husband, Tunji Ilori, does not appear in her comedy content.

In her characteristic straightforward style, Kiekie explained;

“he is not funny.” She highlighted that her brand focuses on comedy, and featuring individuals who do not fit the energy of her content could dilute the humor she is known for.

Kiekie occasionally features her daughter, Nola, noting, “she is made for the camera.” Yet, she is careful to limit her appearances, collaborating only during school breaks to maintain balance.
On boundaries, Kiekie emphasized;

“I have created a very thick line between what is personal to me as Oluwabukunmi Adeaga Ilori and what is personal to my brand as Kiekie.” She added, “What are the elements of my brand? Event and TV host, actor, and content creator. What is my content? Comic.”

She also offered advice for creators, cautioning against overexposing family members:

“We overmilk viral moments until it becomes annoying. And that is where oversharing comes in.”

Kiekie’s approach demonstrates a clear vision for balancing private life with professional commitments while keeping her brand focused and authentic.
