Lagos Ndigbos, wherever they reside in Lagos, have been admonished to comply with governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s COVID-19 Guidelines
OpenLife Nigeria reports that the President, Lagos Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, has advised his fellow Ndigbos, residing in Lagos State to comply with governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s guild lines on COVID-19.
Aguene disclosed this during a brief interview with OpenLife on Thursday in Lagos.
Speaking, the President said:
“I am not a medical professional. But at the moment, nobody needs any medical profession to believe that COVID-19 is real. Majority of people, some of who are personally known to me, are currently battling with the disease. Therefore, everyone must be careful. Ndigbos, anywhere they may be residing in Lagos, must comply with governor Babjide Sanwo-Olu’s guild lines to mitigate further spread of the disease,” he advised.
Aguene however explained that the solution is multi dimensional as everyone, including the government, must play its own part sincerely and diligently.
“Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stands out in fighting this pandemic. He has always been on his toes, constantly proffering solutions and updating citizens since the pandemic broke in 2020. He is like Goodluck Jonathan who believes in the sanctity of life far and above any other interests. Sanwo Olu has demonstrated that the life of the ordinary citizen matters to him. He values life and he is doing everything to protect lives. I urge other State governors to emulate him and citizens to support him,” he stressed.
OpenLife Nigeria further gathered that Governor Sanwo-Olu has consistently maintained that “Lagos cannot afford to relax battle against coronavirus” following the second wave of COVID-19 in Nigeria and increase in number of coronavirus cases in Lagos State.
