Kia global sales hits 227,773 units in April

&NewLine;<p><br> Kia Motors Corporation has announced 227&comma;773 units of global sales for April 2019&comma; a 5&period;3 percent decrease compared to same period last year&period;<br> In a release by Kia global PR team and made available to OpenLife&comma; the April unaudited sales in Korea is based on retail sales while overseas sales&comma; excluding Korea&comma; is based on wholesale&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Kia’s best-selling model was the Sportage SUV&comma; with 41&comma;395 units sold globally in April&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Sales outside of Korea dropped 2&period;5 percent on-year to 185&comma;773 units&comma; due partially to slower sales in China and other emerging markets&period; <br>&NewLine;Sales were led by the Sportage with 38&comma;767 units&comma; followed by the Rio &lpar;Pride&rpar; subcompact sedan and the K3 &lpar;Forte&rpar; with 23&comma;372 and 18&comma;325 units&comma; respectively&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Sales in Korea totaled 42&comma;000 units&comma; a 16 percent decline compared to April 2018&period; The Carnival &lpar;Sedona&rpar; continued its streak as the best-selling model for the 13th consecutive month with 6&comma;110 vehicles&period; The Niro recorded its best sales in 17 months with 2&comma;953 units&comma; owing to the launch of the New Niro in March&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Kia’s global sales are forecast to gain momentum in upcoming months&comma; with overseas sales supported by the flagship SUV Telluride and a new small SUV model&comma; and domestic sales rebounding with the launches of the enhanced Mohave &lpar;Borrego&rpar; and K7 &lpar;Cadenza&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
