OpenLife Nigeria reports that executives of the Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria, MOUN, were among the dignitaries that graced the award honour for Chief Ayo Opadokun, Honourable Wale Osun and Professor Wole Soyinka for their democratic struggles by the Nigerian Human Rights Community, NHRC on Thursday, June 2024.
Established in 2007, the Nigerian Human Rights Community, NHRC, is a coaliton of 135 civil society and community based groups spread across Nigeria.
The group, in a letter of invite sent to Comrade Ade Ikuesan, General Secretary, Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria, MOUN, said they decide to honour the trio of Chief Ayo Opadokun, Honourable Wale Osun and Professor Wole Soyinka because of their commitments to sustainable democratic practice in Nigeria as well as human rights entrenchment and social justices.
The award event held at Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
Comrade Ade Ikuesan was represented by MOUN Secretary, South West zone, Comrade Babatunde Tajudeen.
