Romance Turns Sour: Man Loses Car, Valuables To Lover In Abuja Hotel

OpenLife Nigeria reports that just ahead February 14 Valentine’s Day celebrations, the romantic space in Abuja seems to have been slightly discoloured
as supposed romantic expedition has reportedly turned into a nightmare for a Nigerian man after the woman he checked into a hotel with allegedly disappeared with his car and other valuable belongings.

The shocking incident is said to have occurred on Thursday, February 5, at a hotel located in the upscale Asokoro area of the Federal Capital Territory.

The man had reportedly lodged with a young woman identified as Precious Chinyere, opting for a short-time stay meant to be discreet and brief.

According to details surrounding the incident, everything appeared calm when the pair arrived at the hotel.

However, events took an unexpected turn later in the evening when the man realised that Precious had quietly left the room without informing him.

His concern quickly escalated into panic after he discovered that several of his personal items were missing.

The woman allegedly made away with his mobile phones and laptop, but the biggest shock came when the man discovered that his car was no longer where he had parked it.

It is believed that the suspect gained access to the vehicle and drove out of the hotel premises unnoticed.

Stunned by the sudden betrayal, the man reportedly raised an alarm and immediately reported the matter to the hotel management before proceeding to lodge a formal complaint with the police.

Officers of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command are said to have launched an investigation into the case.

Confirming the development, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that the incident has been reported and is currently under investigation.

She noted that efforts are ongoing to track down the suspect and recover the stolen items, adding that the police are following up on all available leads.

The incident has since sparked widespread reactions, with many Nigerians expressing shock over how the woman allegedly executed the escape so effortlessly.

While some have urged men to exercise caution when meeting strangers, others have called on security agencies to ensure the suspect is swiftly apprehended.

As investigations continue, the victim remains hopeful that the missing car and valuables will be recovered and that justice will be served in what has become a trending hotel drama in the nation’s capital.
