Honourable Amachree Moves To Stimulate Asari Toru Council Economy, Dissolves Previous Appointments, Committees And Task Forces

OpenLife Nigeria reports that the Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Asari Toru Local Government, Honourable Orolosama Peter Amachree, has made a bold move to stimulate the council’s economy.

He has also officially ordered the dissolution of all appointments, committees, and task forces established by the previous administration.

The directive, according to a statement Honourable Amachree personally signed, includes the transfer of all council properties to the office of the chairman, bidding farewell to the outgoing officials and wishing them success in their future pursuits.

According to the statement, the chairman, in a strategic move to stimulate the local economy, will initiate an economic empowerment programme targeting 50 individuals.

Each participant will receive a startup capital of ten million naira to support their entrepreneurial endeavors.

Asari Toru Local Government is poised for progress and prosperity under the leadership of Hon Orolosama P Amachree.

Created out of the old Degema Local Government Area on May 16, 1989, Asari-Toru Local Government Area is inhabited by the Kalabari people with a common language including ancestral origin and beliefs.

With headquarters located in Buguma City, the council has 214.9 km² Area and a population of 316,100 Population {2022 projection}
