OpenLife reports that Roby Ekpo has opened up about tensions in his past marriage, speaking frankly about what he describes as mismatched expectations around intimacy.

According to him, one of the major issues that created friction was the demand placed on him by his ex-wife regarding how often they were expected to be intimate.

He explained that, at his age, keeping up with a daily routine was not something he could realistically sustain.

“I can’t do that at 48,” he said, referring to the expectation of daily sexual activity.

He noted that while he understands the importance of closeness in a relationship, there has to be a balance that works for both partners without pressure becoming overwhelming.

Roby added that his personal comfort level was far from what was being requested. In his view, intimacy a couple of times a week was more reasonable, especially considering the natural changes that come with age and lifestyle.

Beyond the issue of intimacy, he also responded to concerns raised about his online behavior. His ex-wife had allegedly questioned his interactions with younger women on social media.

Addressing this, he explained that being active online often exposes him to unsolicited messages and attention, particularly after relocating to Lagos.

He suggested that some of those interactions may have been misread or taken out of context, emphasizing that not every message or conversation implies wrongdoing.

Overall, Roby maintained that he had tried to manage the relationship responsibly, even when expectations became difficult to meet.
