Governor Ayade scores self high
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Cross River State Governor Ayade Ben has scored himself high on the scale of unassailble ability to appoint 13,000 indigens of the State as public office holders at the State level and another 14,000 at the local level across the 18 Council Areas.
He disclosed this while playing host to 18 council chairmen and councillors in the state on Thursday in Calabar during the Industrialisation Rally in support of his administration.
Ayade said he has created an opportunity for at least one person from each family in the state to be in government. “Why do I have to pay thirteen thousand political appointees and fourteen thousand people at the local government level? It is because I care not because I have too much and in my natural self, I don’t want to see any Cross Riverian go in pain”
OpenLife Nigeria South South Correspondent who witnessed the rally said governor Ayade Ben was elated at the show of solidarity by the council chairman and councilors.
The governor used the opportunity to reel out his projects, completed and uncompleted saying that his determination to industrialize the State and make it Africa Dubai remains unshaken.
Born Benedict Bengioushuye Ayade on 2 March 1968, Governor Ayade Ben, earned his B.Sc from the University of Ibadan in Ibadan, Nigeria between 1984 and 1988.
He then proceeded to obtain his M.Sc in microbiology between 1989 and 1990 and subsequently his Ph.D in Environmental Microbiology from the same University of Ibadan 1990–1994.
Ayade also has an MBA (2000–2002) from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo and worked as a lecturer at Delta State University, Abraka, where he was subsequently appointed a Professor.
