Governor Aminu Tambuwal resigns

<p><strong>The Sokoto State Governor&comma; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;Openlife&period;ng">Aminu Tambuwal&comma;<&sol;a> has resigned as the Chairman of the <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;Openlife&period;ng">Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum<&sol;a>&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>His resignation followed that of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the party&comma; Jibrin Walid&comma; earlier in the day&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Walid was immediately replaced in acting capacity by a former President of the Senate&comma; Adolphus Wabara&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h1><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;pdp-bot-chairman-walid-jibrin-resigns-gives-reason&sol;">Walid Jibrin Resigns As PDP BoT Chairman <&sol;a><&sol;h1>&NewLine;<p>The resignations were at the ongoing meeting of the National Executive Committee of the party in Abuja&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>As at press time&comma; a replacement was yet to be named for Tambuwal&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>There had been complaints about lopsidedness between the North and the South in the hierarchy of the PDP&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This had been more so from the Rivers State Governor&comma; Nyesom Wike&comma; who lost the party’s presidential primaries to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He has the support of a former Deputy National Chairman of the party&comma; Chief Olabode George&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
