Wike reacts to resignation of PDP BoT chairman, Walid Jibrin

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezemuo Wike has reacted to the resignation of former PDP Board of Trustees Chairman, Walid Jibrin.

Wike said Jibrin’s resignation won’t stop his demand for the removal of the party’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

He revealed this on Thursday during the commissioning of Ahoada Campus, Rivers State University.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal Resigns

Wike said the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, told him in person when he won the May primary that Ayu must vacate his position as party chairman.

“The issue at hand is that of justice and fairness, saying having produced the presidential candidate of the party, the North should not also hold on to the chairmanship of the party. This fight we will fight it to the end,” Wike declared.
