GNACOPS Warns Ghana Teachers Association Over School Re Opening

<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>GNACOPS warns and  is in war or words with teachers association over school re opening<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>OpenLife Nigeria reports that council of private schools in Ghana called Ghana National Council of Private Schools&comma; GNACOPS has taken serious exemption to the position of Ghana National Association of Teachers&comma; GNAT&comma; on the modalities and scope of schools reopening&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>OpenLife Nigeria gathered that the private school union has fully replied the Ghana National Association of Teachers has fully replied the Ghana National Association of Teachers&comma; GNAT &comma; saying they can advise the government to close down public schools but not private schools&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The sole decision taken by some teacher unions to advising the government to close down schools again&comma; just after few hours of reopening of schools is just unfortunate and uncouth&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Ghana National Association of Teachers &lpar;GNAT&rpar; has in a release thrown its weight behind various institutions calling for re-closure of basic schools due to lack of personal protective Equipments&comma; PPE&comma;s&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Contrary to their request and recommendation&comma; the Ghana National Council of private schools&comma; GNACOPS warns and  has firmly and strongly spoken against re-closure of schools since private schools in the country are ready and have the expertise to manage the current situation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to the council&comma; schools have been on lockdown for almost ten months whilst other activities go on in the country&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;This to a higher level will affect learners learning and producing healthy learners for building a strong society&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
