Former Director, Nigerian National War College, Bode George, Lectures Pastor Adeboye On Military Hierarchy, Faults 90-Day Service Chief’s Resignation Order

<h4>&NewLine;Former Director<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<h4><&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that Retired Navy Commodore Bode George who served as Director&comma; Nigerian War College&comma; has faulted Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s recommendation for Service Chiefs to resign from office over inability to curtail insurgency in the country&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Equally&comma; the ex-Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party&comma; PDP said the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God should tell President Bola Tinubu to stop insecurity within 90 days or resign&comma; not the service chiefs&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>George said it’s not right for Adeboye to tell the service chiefs to resign in 90 days if they can’t stop insecurity because the responsibility lies with President Tinubu who is the Commander-in-Chief and not Service Chiefs&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Adeboye gave the charge in a sermon where he expressed sadness about the escalating insecurity in Nigeria&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>However&comma; in a statement on Friday&comma; George faulted the cleric&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He said&colon; <em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;No one is saying that Pastor Adeboye should be in charge of the Commander-in-Chief&period; No&period; That is not even possible&period; But that advice should be given to the President&comma; not the service chiefs&period; He is the person responsible for making sure that all Nigerians are protected and safe&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It’s as if someone from outside the newsroom is telling the line editors that they need to make sure the newspaper has exclusive stories on the first page&comma; or else they should leave their job within 90 days&period; That isn’t someone from <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;punchng&period;com&sol;">outside<&sol;a> doing it&period; That is the work of the Daily Editor&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;If there are no stories to sell&comma; the newspaper won’t have anything to offer&comma; and if the editor isn’t strong enough to make the line editors work properly&comma; then it will be the editor who has to look for a job in the labour market&period; Simple&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Tinubu appointed the service chiefs&period; If they aren’t performing&comma; he can tell them they have to improve or he can let them go&period;”<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
