Delta Govt denies curfew extension

Delta State government has denied rumour making the rounds about curfew extension.

The Commissioner of Information, Charles Aniagwu, who debunked the rumour said he does not know where the rumour emanated from.

It would be recalled that Igbudu Market and some major areas in Warri were in a state of rush towards the early evening of Monday June 15, 2020 over a rumoured extension of curfew hours from 6pm to 6am.

The rumour precipitated rush even as most stores were closed for business to beat the new rumoured curfew hour of 6pm.

The situation was the same on some major roads in the town as intra city commercial transporters and passengers were also in a panic mood over the rumour.
