President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Engr Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua (FNSE) as the new Interim Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The appointment was contained in a statement issued by the Director of Press at the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Patricia Deworitshe.
This is following the termination of the appointment of former NDDC interim administrator, Mr Effiong Okon Akwa earlier today.
Until his appointment as interim administrator, Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua was the most senior director in the Commission.
Accordingly, he will perform the duties of the Managing Director in acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director and members of the Governing Board.
President Muhammadu Buhari has also confirmed the appointment of Dr Pokop Bupwatda as the new Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday, October 20, by Mr Ahmadu Chindaya, the Deputy director, media and public relations unit, Federal Ministry of Health.
The Minister of Health confirmed the development.
The appointment was with effect from Aug. 30, 2022, and would run for an initial tenure of four years.
