<h4>Buhari confers National Honours on Buratai<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a> <&sol;strong>reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred national honours on Lt&period; Gen Tukur Buratai&comma; Governor Rotimi Akeredolu&comma; Burna Boy&comma; 2face Idibia&comma; Teni and many other prominent Nigerians&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The Former chief of Army staff who is currently the Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin received the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic &lpar;CFR&rpar; award&comma; at the International Conference Centre in Abuja for his meritorious services&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The event began after Buhari was ushered into the premises at about 10&colon;13 am by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and other senior officials&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;In attendance were Senate President Ahmed Laman&comma; Speaker of the House of Representatives&comma; Femi Gbajabiamila&comma; Chief Justice of Nigeria Olukayode Ariwoola&comma; the President’s Chief of Staff&comma; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;channelstv&period;com&sol;">Professor Ibrahim Gambari&comma; Service Chiefs&comma; the Inspector-General of Police<&sol;a> several ministers including the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs&comma; George Akume&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Others were Traditional Rulers including the Emir of Lafia&comma; Sidi Mohammad&comma; who is the Chairman of the National Honours Awards Committee Secretary of the 2022 National Honours Awards Investiture and members of the diplomatic corps&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Born on November 24&comma; 1960&comma; Buratai was appointed Chief of Army Staff by President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2015&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He was commissioned into the Nigerian Army in 1983 and has had multiple command&comma; administrative&comma; and instructional appointments&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;General Buratai who hails Buratai town in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State&comma; had his primary education at Buratai town and thereafter gained admission to Government Teachers College Potiskum&comma; Yobe State&comma; where he graduated with distinction&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;In January 1981&comma; Buratai attended the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna as a member of the 29 Regular Combatant Course &lpar;29 RC&rpar; where he was given the prestigious appointment of Cadet Sergeant Major &lpar;CSM&rpar;&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;On successful completion of his Officer Cadet training&comma; he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 17 December 1983 into the Infantry Corps of the Nigerian Army&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Buratai has a degree in History from University of Maiduguri and a degree in Philosophy from Bangladesh University of Professionals&comma; Dhaka&period; He is also a graduate of National Defence College&comma; Mirpur&comma; Bangladesh&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
