Boko Haram slaughter 45 farmers in Borno village

<p><strong><a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;Openlife&period;ng">Boko Haram<&sol;a> terrorists on Sunday attacked Rann&comma; a remote village in <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;Openlife&period;ng">Borno State<&sol;a>&comma; Northeast Nigeria killing at least 45 farmers during an harvest on their farm&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Residents of Rann&comma; a remote border village in Borno State&comma; Northeast Nigeria&comma; said they had by noon Monday&comma; May 23&comma; buried at least 45 of their kin who were killed during an attack on their community by terrorists suspected to be Boko Haram&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Locals who are familiar with the incident informed HumAngle that they were still combing the surrounding bushes for any yet to be recovered body&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Rann&comma; the headquarters of Kala Balge’s Local Government Area&comma; is the town best remembered for many ugly incidents of deaths&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A security source who asked to be anonymous in this report said dozens of farmers and some local farm guards came under attack on Sunday&comma; May 22&comma; while on their farm&period; They were attacked by armed Boko Haram terrorists&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The farmers were killed while harvesting their food crops off a piece of land at the outskirts of Rann villages&comma;”<&sol;strong> <&sol;em>the source explained&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He said the attackers didn’t fire any shots from their rifles as they freely deployed machetes in beheading many of the slain farmers&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;They simply descended upon the farmers and surrounded them and they began to kill them one after the other&period;”<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;They brutally killed&comma; by slitting their necks and dismembered the bodies of the 45 slain farmers&period;”<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The source said all the 45 slain farmers and farm guards were buried on Monday after a mass Islamic funeral in the village&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Around 43&comma;000 people are internally displaced and currently struggling with hunger in Rann&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Neither the government of Borno State nor the security operatives have made any comment on the attack yet&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>HumAngle<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
