Billionaire’s Problem Escalates As Jezco Group Chairman’s Daughter Accuses Jowizaza of Inflating Ransom With Social Media Flaunt

Billionaire’s Problem Escalates

OpenLife News reports that the kidnapping case of Chief Joseph Ezeokafor, Chairman of Jezco Group, has taken a dramatic turn after his daughter publicly accused her younger brother of triggering the incident.

Blessing Ezeokafor, said to be the billionaire businessman’s first child, alleged that her brother, Eberechukwu Ezeokafor, popularly known as Jowizaza, is responsible for their father’s predicament due to his flamboyant display of wealth on social media.

‘Your Social Media Noise Increased Ransom to N1.5bn’

In a series of posts, Blessing claimed kidnappers initially demanded N700 million. But after seeing Jowizaza’s online lifestyle, they increased the demand to N1.5 billion.

“Why Jowizaza my brother? You are the cause of this madness. Social media noise, when we don’t have that money. You use audio money to make hoodlums think the money is available.”

She insisted the family is not as wealthy as portrayed online and is currently battling huge debts.

‘We Are Owing Banks N40bn’

Blessing alleged that Jowizaza ran the family business aground before being removed as director and placed on a N1 million monthly salary.

She listed some of the debts:

“Fake life claiming what we don’t have. You are owing banks FCMB N40 billion, no hope to pay, you are owing Union Bank… Now your madness has made people think we have money.”

Plea to Kidnappers

In an emotional appeal, she directly addressed the abductors:

“Kidnappers they don’t have money, it is audio money, please leave my dad alone. Please release him, they are swimming in debt.”

She added that her father needs urgent medication and she does not want anything to happen to him.

‘I Had To Speak Out’

Blessing defended her decision to go public, saying silence would have cost her father’s life.

“So you want those kidnappers to think we have money and refused to give them and kill him there? I will now become fatherless. At this point I need to talk so they can be talking reasonable of what we can provide.”

She also warned bloggers against exaggerating the family’s wealth, saying: “We have simple life not exaggerating wealth.”

Chief Joseph Ezeokafor’s abduction has sparked reactions across the business community. Authorities are yet to announce any breakthrough.

The Chairman of Jezco Group was kidnapped in the early hours of Tuesday, August 4, 2026, after leaving his Awka residence for a prayer ground without his security detail.

Information has it that he left home around 2:00 AM for annual spiritual prayers without security aides.
The kidnappers initially demanded ransom of ₦700 million but later raised it to ₦1.5 billion, following stalled communication with the family.
