APGA IS A Mistake—-Retired DIG Celestine Okoye

APGA is a mistake in the eastern part of Nigeria

OpenLife Nigeria reports that a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Celestine Okoye, has described the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as a mistake.
He stated this at a ceremony where he officially joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Anambra State.
Okoye registered as a member of the APC at his polling unit of Ward 3, Awka, in the Awka South Local Government Area of the 29 years old State.
APGA is a political party that has governed Anambra State in the past 15 years. It was formed by late Odumegwu Ojukwu and other like minds as a political tool for the easterners to negotiate their ways around Nigeria’s political corridor.
Explaining his reasons for clinching his political fate with APC, the retired DIG in charge of Information Technology said “Anambra State and South-East cannot continue to be in the opposition. Anambra and the Igbo need to be at the centre of what is happening in Nigeria.
“We should stop deceiving ourselves with APGA for it cannot take Anambra and the South-East anywhere.
“I’m interested in the area of strategies on how to win the election and bring Anambra APC to the centre.”
Celestine Okoye who got elevated to DIG from the rank of commissioner is said to have thrown his hat into the Anambra governorship contest. Senator Andy Uba who had worked with Obasanjo as domestic aide is also an APC aspirant in the guber election.
Celestine Okoye has authored a book on insecurity. Anambra state parades the highest number of billionaires in Nigeria. Election in the state, especially governorship is often financially defined.
Sources say Celestine Okoye may have made much money in the Police with heavy reserve to prosecute the election.
Anambra State has 21 local council areas with 181 towns.
