<p>Police Officers and men of the Anambra State <a href="https://openlife.ng">Police </a>Command, attached to Akwa B Division, have, yet again, risen to the occasion of ridding the highly commercialized State of crime and criminal activities in line with the crime fighting template of the State Commissioner of <strong>Police</strong>, John Abang.</p>



<p>In ‘Anambra State Police Command Diary’ signed by Superintendent <a href="http://www.thisdaylive.com">Haruna Mohammed, Anambra Police spokesman</a> and made available to OpenLife, the Command disclosed that on August 9, 2020 at about 1:30am, there was a report of alleged murder of one 43 years old Azuibuike Ekwegbalu.</p>



<p>He  ;reportedly hailed from  ;Ogbunike in the  ;Oyi Local Government Area of the State.</p>



<p>As of the time of his death, Azuibuike Ekwegbalu was resident at the Commissioners’ quarters in Awka, the State capital.</p>



<p>Following the report, according to <strong>Haruna,</strong> Police detectives attached to B&#8217; Division in Awka led by the Divisional <strong>Police </strong>Officer, DPO, Chief Superintendent Emma Ogbuanya visited the scene and rushed the victim, who was found in a pool of his blood, to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, COOUTH, Amaku, Awka, for medical attention.</p>



<p>However,  ;he was certified dead on arrival by the medical doctor, according to Haruna.</p>



<p>His corpse, the statement added,  ;was deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, the statement continued, a careful observation on the deceased body revealed stab wounds while a blood stained kitchen knife was also recovered as exhibit at the scene.</p>



<p>Consequently, one suspect, who allegedly was in the premises has been arrested and the case, at the moment,  ;is under investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident please.</p>



<p>Reacting, a facebook commentator, Gabriel Akonta, attested and commended the professionalism of DPO Emma Ogbuanya.</p>



<p>Said he: SP Haruna once gave me his contact regarding a case in my compound. The way he handled it was quite commendable. Kudos.”</p>



<p>Another facebook commentator, SaintJude1965, has this to say of the DPO: “I must observe that DPO Ogbuanya is a fine gentleman, going by the way he treated the matter of my detained friends”</p>
