Adeleke Family’s Crisis Deepens As Gen Z Threatens Davido’s Concerts Over Uncle’s Endorsement Of Tinubu

 Adeleke Family’s Crisis Deepens

OpenLife News reports that at the moment, it seems all is not well in the Adeleke’s family in Ede, Osun State.

The crisis signal is technically tied to the governor of the State, GovernorAdemola Adeleke and his nephew,  David Adedeji Adeleke, a globally known Afro beat star, professionally as Davido.

Technically, there is no direct fight yet between Davido and Governor Ademola Adeleke, rather their political paths have split openly after the Osun governorship election.

Davido actively supported his uncle governor during the Osun State governorship elections which held on Saturday, 15th August, 2026.

He served as the Chairman of the Imole Youth Mobilisation Campaign Council, putting parts of his music career on hold to actively campaign, attend rallies, and mobilize young voters across Osun State.

On social Media, Davido engaged opponents online, urged voters to reject intimidation, and closely monitored the vote-counting and collation processes.

Davido was front and center for his uncle’s re-election. He posted aggressively against APC, with old tweets resurfacing where he said “Anybody supporting APC in Osun is an enemy of progress” and “I can never support APC in my life.”

He claimed he “defeated 17 governors with all their power… with just a phone.” Adeleke won under Accord Party with 511,067 votes against APC’s 444,815.

The Turn

Immediately after winning, Davido publicly and emotionally celebrated the win on social media and live television.

Governor Adeleke, on his part, thanked President Tinubu for a free and fair election and re-affirmed his earlier endorsement of Tinubu for 2027, calling Tinubu “a son of Osun State.”

The Escalation

However, on October 14, 2026 at the inauguration of Tinubu’s 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja, Adeleke was named Osun Coordinator.

He danced to Davido’s song to the podium and pledged to deliver Osun for Tinubu, saying Tinubu needs 4 more years to consolidate reforms.

Davido’s Response

In a News Central TV interview now viral, Davido clarified  that he does not automatically share all of his uncle’s political alliances, noting that he has no current commitment to support President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.

He distanced himself and said, “Immediately he won, my uncle came out to declare his support for President Tinubu, but as for me, I am not propelled to support anybody.

“You can’t force me to have a presidential candidate. My uncle might have his personal reasons for the gain of the state. Right now I don’t have a presidential candidate. It might change, but it’s not going to be APC.”

Why it’s brewing

Supporters of the Adelekes feel betrayed over the stance of the governor. Many youths who fought APC in Osun now see Adeleke joining Tinubu’s campaign as selling out, especially after the alleged LG allocation seizure battle between Osun and FG that Davido himself cited.

Apart from Osun natives, individuals like VeryDarkMan (VDM) and others have called Davido a hypocrite and user, saying “I don’t want to see you talking about Nigerian politics again.”

Davido even liked VDM’s critical post.

As a onsequence,  there is emerging fallout on Davido’s musical enterprise in which case fans are now threatening to boycott his 3-night Oriadé gig titled “The Residency concert Dec 17-19 at National Theatre, Lagos,” saying APC family should buy the tickets.

So it’s not a family war yet, it’s a political contradiction: Uncle playing realpolitik to secure federal favour, allocation while  nephew is trying to keep his street credibility with Gen-Z who are anti-APC.
