<h4>2023 Easter</h4>
<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the Kebbi State 2023 governorship election, Major General Aminu Bande ret’d, has sued for peace as <a href="https://www.vanguardngr.com/">Christians in Kebbi State and other parts of Nigeria are expected to join their counterparts worldwide to celebrate the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ on Friday</a>, Sunday and Monday.<br />
In a statement made available to journalist Friday Afternoon, Bande assured Kebbi people of his commitment to the growth and prosperity of the State.<br />
In the statement, Bande noted that this year’s celebration is very unique for Christian adherents and everyone in Kebbi State especially since important political choice that would affect the future of the State would be made on Saturday, April 15.<br />
The statement reads in part:<br />
<em><strong>“I join my Christian brothers and sisters in Kebbi State to celebrate this year’s Easter, which is a significant festival in the Christian calendar.</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>“Specifically, the message of Easter, which commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ after crucifixion and burial, reminds us of the power of divine love, faith and redemption which should continuously guild us as brothers and sisters in Kebbi..</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>“For us in the PDP, this Easter evokes in us the resilience of the human spirit not to give up in the face of seemingly daunting challenges orchestrated by anti democratic elements in Kebbi.</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>“I therefore, urge all of you to increase your love and faith in our long and short term promises to reset Kebbi State economy for prosperity when voted in to occupy Government House from May 29.</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>“We will eliminate all elements of insecurity in our dear State to restore investors’ confidence which is a key aspect towards our economic re engineering of Kebbi State,”</strong></em> he promised.</p>
